Cataract/Cornea Specialist

Dr. Howard Amiel, physician and surgeon specializing in cataract, corneal/anterior segment eye disorders, and refractive surgery, received his undergraduate education at the University of Iowa, and medical training at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. After completing his residency at the Brown Medical School, he joined the faculty and remained to teach and mentor medical students and Ophthalmology residents in the emergency room, clinics, and operating room. He completed two fellowships prior to coming to Omni Eye Specialists: one in Cataract and Refractive surgery with Dr. Paul Koch of Warwick, RI, and another in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne, Australia.
He brings to Omni Eye Specialists extensive training in corneal transplantation techniques, LASIK, and specialty refractive intraocular lens. |
